Marvel vs Capcom 3 – Galactus Boss Fight Leaked

With Marvel vs Capcom 3‘s release rapidly approaching, advance copies of the game have begun to circulate.  While those copies are generally reserved for the press, there are probably a few connected civilians who managed get their hands on a copy:  One of those lucky people – or realistically a someone who pirated the game somehow – decided to post the game’s final boss fight on Youtube.  It was already out in the open that MvC3‘s final boss is planet-eating Marvel villain Galactus, but now you get see to see it up close and personal.

Capcom Reveals Four New Characters for Marvel vs. Capcom 3

Word has it that the upcoming June edition of Game Informer will unveil four new character from the roster of the long-awaited fighter “Marvel vs. Capcom 3.”  Upon announcing the game, Capcom revealed six characters from a cast of sixteen fighters: Iron Man, Wolverine and Hulk from Marvel.  Morrigan, Chris Redfield and Ryu from Capcom.  The GI feature confirms (rumors about the roster have been spurred on by blacked-out cast screens) four more characters – Captain America, Deadpool, Felicia and Dante.  Deadpool and Dante are both new addition to the MvC universe, while Captain America and Felicia are both tried and true veterans.

Capcom Announces Marvel Vs. Capcom 3

Capcom announced via press release on Tuesday that they are finally producing a new “Marvel vs. Capcom” game.  (No,”Tatsunoko vs. Capcom” doesn’t count!) “Marvel vs Capcom 3: The Fate of Two Worlds” is a long time coming:  “Marvel vs. Capcom 2” was first realized ten years ago.  According to release, MvC3 will go gold some time next spring.

While Capcom didn’t “say” anything else about game content, they did show off a bit by way of a debut trailer, which gives rabid MvC fans a little insight into what can be expected. There are two important things to take away from the trailer:  First off is the look; if the preview is even slightly indicative of the actual game then Marvel vs Capcom 3’s artistic style will closely resemble Street Fighter IV’s faux cel-shaded look.  Second, and more importantly, shows the first six characters duking out one-on-one:  Five of the characters are Marvel vs. Capcom vets that most fans would assume to be in the game; Morrigan, Ryu, Wolverene, Iron Man and Hulk.  There is one surprise addition on the Capcom side, and, beleieve me, they make sure to milk it in the preview.  I won’t spoil it if you haven’t watched the preview, but it is definitely a pick that will get MvC fans excited.

Between this, Gears of War 3 and Killzone 3 (fingers crossed), I am just counting the days until next April.
